I’m Marta Hall, founder and owner of Senior Fitness with Marta.

I can help you to keep moving and feel fitter and better for life as you age. By exercising with me for just an hour a week or more, you can improve your strength, mobility, balance and confidence, so you can keep doing the things you enjoy and live life to the full and feel more hopeful and optimistic about the future.

Marta Hill - Senior Fitness Instructor
Senior Fitness with Marta - West Hertfordshire

Here’s why I’m qualified to do this:

  • I’m a fully qualified and insured exercise professional, and a member of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) as well as the National Governing Body for Group Exercise EMD UK
  • I studied Anatomy, Physiology, Principles of Exercise, Fitness and Health before I received a Teaching Yoga Diploma CYQ Level 3 in 2012 at City Lit College in London, England
  • I have also trained in Chair Yoga, Positive Movement, Exercise to Music, OTAGO Exercise for Strength & Balance. I also successfully completed a Massage Therapy with Anatomy & Physiology at Champneys Beauty College, Tring
  • Prior to that, in 1992 I graduated from Medical College, Wroclaw, Poland in Human Nutrition and Dietetics as a Dietician. My studies and work placement at a General Hospital were very interesting and intensive and taught me a lot how patients can be supported through different diets, and also how very important healthy eating is and how people’s eating habits can have either a positive or negative impact on their health

I feel fortunate to have worked and run chair yoga and relaxation classes as a volunteer for local Charities such as Rennie Grove Day Hospice Care, Hospice of St Francis, Community Action Dacorum, The Centre in The Park, Age UK Hertfordshire, Age UK Dacorum, Letchworth Centre for Healthy Living (Positive Movement Project), The Heather Club, Getting Together/ Watford & Three Rivers Trust, Water Mill House Care Home and The Waterside Centre.

I absolutely cherish the ‘Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service’ which I received in 2017.

I set up my own group exercise classes for seniors in 2017, which are all chair-based, seated and standing. I run all of my group exercise sessions in local community centres which are lovely, bright and spacious with free parking spaces nearby.

A few years ago, I teamed up with Heart to Herts Cardiac Support Group and the Friends of Parkwood Surgery Patients and have been running exercise classes for their members too.

Last year I joined the LIVE LONGER BETTER REVOLUTION led by Sir Muir Gray, who I consider to be one of my Heroes, and I have become a proud LIVE LONGER BETTER in Hertfordshire CHAMPION
